Catching Up

It’s been awhile since I posted.

It was harder than I thought getting back into the swing of things after my Mom past away in January.

For awhile I was pretty depressed. I was having difficulty balancing it all.

I tried to keep going. I even started a new business as an Access Consciousness® Bars Facilitator, but it was hard. Everything was hard.

I finally gave myself permission to do nothing.

Yep, that’s right, nothing. I didn’t write, teach classes, take on new consulting clients, work on my websites, or even participate in social media.

I took a break. I did what I had to do to get by and that’s it. I watched a lot of movies and slept a lot, too.

And, I didn’t beat myself up, well not too much.

Over the last few weeks I’ve started moving again. I’ve been asking questions and taking small steps.

It feels good to be creative again, to be writing, brainstorming, working with clients, writing, digging into my websites and planning events.

I’ve added a few new tabs to The Dreaming Cafe to share what I’m up to and on my personal website, I share even more.

I’m flying out to Washington State in a few weeks to host a Bars class and to do some business brainstorming, planning and playing with my business partner LeeAnn Gibbs.

I’m very excited. There are so many possibilities opening up.

I think it’s because I gave myself permission to take a break and gave myself permission to start over, to start small and to take it one step at a time.

How about you? What have YOU been up to? Is there something you need to give yourself permission to do, or not do?

OMGosh. Sorry for your loss and kudos to you.
The “no-thing” that you did was actually a lot of some-thing(s), self-care and beyond.
And, how blessed you are to have LeeAnn to partner with. She knows about how moms die and the legends we get to follow, or not.
Be well dear Sandy. Be well. Very well.
