More Art Journaling
I am beginning to enjoy the process of art journaling. I no longer worry of I am doing it right. I just let myself create. I am finding I lose myself in the process and feel a sense of release and calm when I am done.
So, here are a few pictures from my art journal from this past week. As always, a big thank you and giant hugs go out to Connie at Dirty Footprints Studios for inspiring me and encouraging me not to give up.
This one is my favorites. It helped provide peace and clarity…
This day I was feeling a little fractured; feeling pulled in too many directions

Realizing I have the potential to bridge the gap between the left brain and the right brain and to live comfortably in both worlds – the world of logic and reason and the world of intuition and creativity…

It’s so easy to get stuck in one’s personal rut, but you’ve helped nudge me out of that rut. Thanks!
Thank you, Cathy. Give it a try. I am very much an amateur at art journaling.
Beautiful work! It’s so nice to see such beautiful and imspiring work. Maybe I’ll get the confidence to try. (I know I wouldn’t be at your level, but I think it would be fun and theraputic.) And maybe one day I will take a class. Thank you again for sharing.
Well done! I’m inspired.
I love your work. Thanks so much for sharing. I haven’t been brave enough to put art with my journal writings. I’ll give it a shot.
Are you familiar with Dr. Lucia Capacchione? She and Dr. Peggy Van Pelt wrote a book called Putting Your Talent to Work…lots of art journaling. Lots of written journaling using your NON-dominant hand. Interesting and enlightening. Dr. Lucia has other books as well. Right up your alley.
Your work is quite beautiful and inspiring Sandy. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. You have a definite talent and creativity that shines through both your art creations and your writing. I especially enjoyed the colors and shades you chose in each one of the pictures above.
Good work Sandy! I love the movement from the fractured brain to the bridged brain – inspired!
I just discovered water color pencils – you color with the pencils then use a slightly moistened brush to blend the strokes or two adjoining colors to create a new shade – great fun! Found them at Michael’s in a small set with just 6 pencils on clearance sale….

Have you ever heard of Soul Collage? I’m working to help a client publish her book of images from dreams alongside some favorite sayings.
Thanks for your inspiration. I’d love to send you a few of mine — like my own homemade deck of Tarot.
Love these pages.
