I wasn’t too clear this morning on what to write, so I thought I’d share a poem that will tell you a little more about me. It’s not great, and it doesn’t rhyme, and it might not flow in your head like it does in mine, but, like I said, it will tell you just a little more about me…
Design and Art, What I like…
Black and white,
And all shades of gray.
Sharp angles,
Clean lines,
And strong strokes that define.
Colors, bold and bright,
Like rainbows with wheels
That leap from the page.
Wide open spaces,
To move and to dream.
Natural wood,
Glass and steel,
Recovered, recycled, reclaimed.
A touch of life,
Green leaves and vines,
Roses, and petals of all kinds.
Depth and substance,
Beauty in abundance.

What a great idea – I do have an image of you now that is different than it was a couple of days ago!
Funny how we make assumptions about people based on tiny little thumbnail photos and where they live. Lovely of you to share your personal writing…
LOVE IT!!! Thanks for sharing, Sandy!
I’ve been thinking along those lines, but still getting comfortable with just sharing my writing and knowing people are reading it. Don’t think I am ready to ‘sit on the stage and deliver’ yet.
I like it. I know what you mean about something possibly not flowing in a reader’s mind the way it does in yours. Carol suggested I start posting recordings of me reading some of my pieces, because she says they really come alive when I read them aloud to her. Maybe you could do the same.
